Students will experience the threat firsthand in a lab simulation that actively models the screwworm life cycle and the sterile insect technique.
Designed for high school Animal Systems, Veterinary Science, and Ag Science courses, this Catalyst Crate blends biology, biosecurity, and critical thinking into an engaging, reusable lab experience that fits seamlessly into a 2 day lesson sequence.
This crate includes digital files for the lesson plan and presentation, plus a box shipped directly to your classroom with: bound lesson plan (optional), 6-sided die (x8), black chips (x120), blue chips (x120), and red chips (x120).
There are adequate materials for 8 groups of 4 students (32 students). The lab components are reusable.
